intern Program - training Overview


Software Familiarity

First, our students undergo at least 80 hours of software courses, becoming familiar with AutoCAD and Revit, or other software upon client request. Study topics include:

  • 2D Drafting
  • 3D Design
  • Export tools, layers, dimensions
  • Blueprint reading



Next, our students take the rigorous AutoDesk Certification Exam, as well as the equivalent of any other requested software. This stage includes many hours of exam preparation, with both online and in-class resources available. 



Finally, we expose the students to industry-specific knowledge and skills, including but not limited to:

  • Industry-specific software and its applications
  • Applicable State, Federal, and local codes
  • Relevant tacit knowledge
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints/drafts
